We are seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead daily operations, support and develop our team, and drive overall clinic performance. Previous management experience OR experience working in an optometry/eye-care setting is required.
Required Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
No weekends

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations across front desk, clinical, and optical departments
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow to support an efficient and productive clinic
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, clinic growth, and profitability
  • Maintain high standards for patient experience and customer service
  • Handle employee relations, performance management, coaching, and corrective action when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and the Regional Practice Manager on clinic goals, operational improvements, and practice growth
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and ensure appropriate follow-through on initiatives and action items
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations
  • Oversee inventory, billing processes, and operational systems
  • Oversee accounts payable, including invoice management and timely payments
  • Perform account reconciliation and help maintain accurate financial records
  • Identify operational challenges and proactively develop solutions
  • Support training and development of team members across departments

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous management/leadership experience OR optometry/eye-care experience required
  • Healthcare management or optometry management experience strongly preferred
  • CPO or ABO certification to be obtained within 1st year of employment 
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable addressing employee performance and holding team members accountable
  • Experience with scheduling, payroll, and performance management preferred
  • Experience with accounts payable and basic financial reconciliation preferred
  • Ability to understand and use performance metrics to make operational decisions
  • Professional, dependable, proactive, and team-oriented
